GAIL reports 45 pc rise in quarterly net profit

Gas Authority of India Limited, Gail India Ltd., largest gas transmission and marketing company in India, on Monday reported a 45 per cent rise in quarterly net profit. BC Tripathi, Chairman and Managing Director of GAIL, said the company aims to spend Rs 80 billion in the current fiscal year, the bulk of it on expanding its pipeline network.
