Govt not to pursue Bhopal case in US court

Minister of Law and Justice M Veerappa Moily on Wednesday ruled out pursuing the case of Bhopal gas tragedy compensation in US courts, saying that the Indian courts are competent enough to solve such cases. He also said that pursuing a case against Union Carbide in the US courts would not be in the interest of the victims and India.
