I am proud to be part of IAF family: Tendulkar

In recognition to his commendable contribution to the game of cricket, the Indian Air Force conferred the honorary rank of Group Captain on cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and also designated him as the brand ambassador of the elite defence services of the nation. In his acceptance speech, the veteran cricketer thanked the Indian Air Force for bestowing him with the rare honour. At a gala ceremony hosted at Subroto Park Air Force complex in New Delhi on Friday, Air Chief Marshal P V Naik, Chief of Air Staff, Indian Air Force, formally conferred the rank on Tendulkar.
