India, Bangladesh sign agreements on border dispute, trade

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina signed a comprehensive agreement over various issues in Dhaka on Tuesday.Singh is on two-day visit to Bangladesh along with an Indian delegation for cementing better ties with the neighbouring nation. After a high-level delegation meeting was held between the representatives of the Indian and Bangladeshi government, the Prime Minister of both the nations signed the comprehensive treaties, which catered to issues including settling border disputes and opening new trade avenues between both nations. Singh, on his part, said the matters of sharing waters of the Teesta River would be continued in further discussions till an amicable solution was reached.
