Ostracized transgender in Kolkata find support

The ostracized transgender community in Kolkata seeks refuge in the 'shelter homes' funded by UNDP. The shelter homes have been set up with an aim to provide them recognition in a society where they are shunned, reviled and often humiliated publicly. The place does not have any lavish arrangements…but the two room-kitchen house has become a haven for these marginalized people.
