Pranab concerned over law and order situation in WB

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday expressed his concern over the law and order situation in West Bengal and said that it is the responsibility of the state government to maintain law and order and to protect the people living in Maoist infested areas. On Friday, eight persons including a woman were killed in firing allegedly by cadres of the Communist Party of India-Marxist, the ruling party of West Bengal at a village in the state's Lalgarh region of Paschimi Medinipur district.
