Sports minister does a U-turn on betting

It looks like that pressure is not only on BCCI president N Srinivasan but also on the Union Sports Minister Jitendra Singh. Today the sports ministry rejected the reports that it was in favour of legalising betting to curb corruption in sports. The ministry has also asked the president N Srinivasan to step down on moral ground.
