A video leaked on social media shows the Gujarat police personnel vandalising several vehicles in a residential area in Surat. The video from a CCTV camera shows the policemen entering a private residential enclave in Surat and smashing the glasses of the parked cars. The policemen are then seen heading towards a lane apparently to destroy the two-wheelers parked there. Following the emergence of the video, the Gujarat High Court on Thursday ordered a probe into the alleged excess use of police force after violence erupted following an agitation by the Patel community demanding OBC status.
