Watch: Twin train derailment in Madhya Pradesh leaves 31 dead

At least 31 people were killed and more than 70 injured when two trains derailed within minutes of each other while crossing a small bridge in Madhya Pradesh shortly before midnight on Tuesday. Three special trains carrying doctors and rescue personnel have been dispatched to the spot. Relief teams could not be sent by road due to heavy water logging. Meanwhile, at least 25 trains from Mumbai have been diverted as a result of the mishap. Trains from Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have been temporarily halted. After the news broke out, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences through twitter.
