Praful Patel, Minister of Civil Aviation said that for the first time since the merger of the two national carriers of Air India and Indian Airlines, Air India's losses have started to show a declining trend and the worst is over. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the US-India Business Council meet organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in New Delhi on Tuesday, the minister said that earlier the losses were in the average of rupees 400 crore per month, which has now started coming down by at least rupees 100 crore per month.
