Just after US trip, Iraqi PM visits Tehran, asks Iran to guarantee safe oil passage through Hormuz?

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al‑Zaidi has reportedly asked Iranian officials in Tehran to guarantee safe passage for tankers carrying Iraqi oil through the Strait of Hormuz, highlighting how deeply Baghdad now depends on Mojtaba Khamenei’s goodwill to keep its exports flowing even as war disrupts shipping and U.S. “World War III‑grade” weapons have not fully reopened the waterway.
