Traditional Chendamelam and Onam Sadhya were held at the Thrikkakkara temple to mark Uthradam, the eve of Onam. Devotees gathered at the temple as the celebrations reflected Kerala’s rich cultural and religious traditions associated with the harvest festival. The rhythmic Chendamelam performance added to the festive atmosphere, while the traditional Onam Sadhya brought people together over an elaborate vegetarian feast served as part of the celebrations. Uthradam marks the day before Thiruvonam, the main day of Onam, and is observed with various rituals, preparations and festivities across Kerala.
