Hours after kicking up a storm with her remark on Nathuram Godse, BJP leader Pragya Thakur apologised for 'hurting sentiments'. The Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal had called Mahatma Gandhi's assassin a 'patriot'. The comment had given the Opposition ammo to target the ruling party. The BJP had distanced itself from her remark, asking her to apologise. Pragya, after furnishing an apology, went on to say that her statement had been twisted by the media. She is contesting against Congress veteran Digvijaya Singh.
