Manipur Violence Spirals Out Of Control? Cop Who Probed Pulwama Attack Called Back

The Union Home Ministry has recalled IPS Officer Rakesh Balwal to Manipur as the north eastern state flares up again after the killing of a Meitei couple in a Kuki-dominated area. Balwal is currently posted as SSP Srinagar. Officials in Manipur said Balwal is yet to be assigned a post in the state. Several students were injured in massive clashes that erupted.
