New anti-exam paper leak bill in parliament: minister lists measures after CJP protest, Pradhan exit

Union Minister Jitendra Singh defended the government's proposed amendments to the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, calling them a landmark step to protect students and ensure the integrity of public examinations. Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Singh said the legislation reflects the government's commitment to safeguarding the future of India's youth and preventing exam malpractices. He added that incidents of paper leaks have occurred in states governed by different political parties and announced that the government will set up fast-track courts for speedy trials in paper leak cases, along with a task force to recommend comprehensive examination reforms.
