Opposition parties have taken a jibe at Modi government after its decision to reduce Excise Duty on petrol and diesel on Diwali occasion. The opposition leaders accused the Central government of looting people by imposing heavy tax on petrol and diesel in the country. Congress party linked the decision to the outcome of by-polls in various states where BJP lost. Trinamool Congress said that the decision by Modi government came after 'robbing people through taxes' and the percentage of the Excise duty cut is too little.
