The great-granddaughter of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, popularly known as Mahatma and the Father of the Nation, has been imprisoned for fraud in South Africa. Ashish Lata Ramgobin, daughter of activists Ela Gandhi and late Mewa Ramgobin, has been jailed for 7 years by a Durban court. She had been accused of duping business SR Maharaj.
