AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi lashed out at Centre and UP govt over Lakhimpur Kheri violence. Owaisi termed the violence, which claimed lives of 8 including 4 farmers, as 'pre-planned’. He added that he plans to visit violence-hit Lakhimpur to show solidarity with people. “What happened in Lakhimpur Kheri was pre-planned. Just a few days back, an union minister delivered a provocative speech. The farmers were run over by a car in the presence of that minister's son. It's been a year that the farmers are protesting, many of them even died. Both PM Modi & UP CM Yogi Adityanath are responsible for the incident,” Owaisi said. Meanwhile, BJP's Sambit Patra targeted Congress over 'attacks on farmers' in other states. He said Congress is turning a blind eye towards farmers in states where it is in power. Patra's remarks came as Congress leaders made a beeline to visit violence-hit Lakhimpur Kheri. The violence broke out after a car hit the protesting farmers at Tikunia village in Kheri. Farmers accused union minister Ajay Kumar Mishra & his son Ashish in the case. Minister Ajay Mishra & his son denied being present at the spot at time of incident.
