Shooting near White House: FBI Chief Kash Patel, DC Mayor, top cop on how nat’l guardsmen were shot

Two National Guard soldiers on a high‑visibility patrol near the corner of 17th and I streets, just a short distance from the White House, were shot in what Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser described as a targeted attack. Along with Bowser, FBI Chief Kash Patel and DC Police's Assistant Chief Jeff Caroll briefed the media regarding the shooting. Watch their statements here.
