Nadal survives Mayer scare to reach US Open 4th round

Rafael Nadal's bid for a third US Open title continued on Saturday when the world number one and tournament top seed faced Leonardo Mayer. The world number 59 matched his illustrious opponent shot for shot in the first set, which went to a tiebreaker after neither man managed a break of serve.
