Mirabai Chanu dedicated her silver medal to the people of the country. Union Minister Anurag Thakur felicitated Olympic medalist Mirabai Chanu on July 26. Chanu arrived in India on July 26 after her brilliant performance in Tokyo 2020. Chanu was greeted with loud cheers of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ & ‘Vande Mataram’. She received a warm welcome at the airport & underwent a mandatory Covid test. Mirabai Chanu opened India's medal tally as she bagged silver in the Tokyo Olympics.
