U.S. Secretary of State said curbs on freedom of expression undermine Pak's image & ability to progress. Int'l Federation of Journalists - Pak ranked the 5th most dangerous place for the practice of journalism. The U.S. Secretary of state highlighted the issue of significant restrictions on civil society & media outlets in Pak. Pak civil society members face threats such as kidnappings, enforced disappearances, torture etc.
