Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced that the first shipment of gas for export to Colombia is ready, awaiting final technical procedures before crossing the border. Speaking from Caracas, he emphasized the importance of strengthening economic integration, trade, and binational investments between Venezuela and Colombia. Maduro also addressed national energy security, accusing the United States, particularly the CIA under the Trump administration, of attempting to sabotage Venezuela’s oil and gas infrastructure. He urged protection of all energy facilities against external threats. The president further rejected claims that Venezuela possesses weapons of mass destruction, insisting the country holds no nuclear or chemical weapons.
