External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar landed in Maldives on August 9, beginning a three-day official visit to the island nation. This visit follows just a few weeks after Maldives leader Mohamed Muizzu attended the oath-taking ceremony for the Narendra Modi-led government. Recently, relations between India and Maldives have been a bit tense, especially since the pro-China Muizzu took over the reins of the Maldives government. Watch for more.
