Lebanon's Minister of Environment Nasser Yassin accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of "waging a regional war" in the country to "save his neck." Speaking with Sky News on August 9, Yassin said that Lebanon wouldn't "stand" the same level of aggression Gaza is facing, and Beirut has been stepping up its preparedness for more attacks from Israel. The reaction came after the IDF intensified attacks on Hezbollah militants inside Lebanon in recent weeks amid an ongoing war in Gaza.
