EU concerned over Israeli-Palestinian violence

The EU's Foreign Policy chief, Javier Solana, said on Tuesday that the European Union is trying to find ways to help calm tensions in Gaza and in Lebanon. After meeting Solana, Moussa said he hoped mediation efforts would lead to a ceasefire. Solana said the EU rejected Israel's long-standing policy of assassinating Palestinian political and military leaders.
