Pakistani security guard slaps, kicks woman. Video triggers outrage
The police have registered a case and have taken the security guard into custody.
In a shameful act, which has triggered outrage, a security guard in Karachi in Pakistan was seen hitting a woman who was pregnant. He has now been arrested, local media reported.
The guard was reported to have beaten up the woman outside an apartment building in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area, Pak-based Geo News reported. A CCTV camera footage - shared on social media - shows the security guard arguing with the woman, after which he slapped her. As the woman fell to the ground and tried to get up, the man kicked her in the face.

In a first information report, the Geo News report said, the woman who works as a house help at Noman Grand City in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, said she is pregnant. According to her, on August 5 at 3 am, she had asked her son to deliver her food. However, when her son tried to enter the apartment's premises, the union's office bearers — Abdul Nasir, Adil Khan, and Mahmood Khalil — prohibited him from entering.
“When I came down to inquire, Adil got angry and started abusing me. Then, he asked the security guard to beat me. I am 5-6 months pregnant. When he hit me, I became unconscious due to the pain,” she was quoted as saying.

The police have registered a case and have taken the security guard into custody.
Meanwhile, Sindh chief minister Murad Ali Shah has taken cognizance of the matter. “How did the guard have the audacity to raise his hands at the woman and be violent?” he questioned.
