A top advisor has said the capital Kyiv was now "a city under siege." Ukraine has reported renewed air strikes on an airport in the west, heavy shelling on Chernihiv, and attacks on the southern town of Mykolayiv, news agency Reuters reported.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Moscow of both blocking and attacking humanitarian convoys.

Five latest videos shared on social media that capture the horror of the Ukraine war:

> On Twitter, the Defence Ministry of Ukraine shared visuals from Mariupol city, which came under Russian attack as the invasion entered its third week. The video shows several residential buildings and stores being targeted amid bombardment. “For 18 days Mariupol is heroically holding defence against the russian-fascist invaders,” the tweet reads. Civilians have been stranded in the city with no water, food or medical supplies. The death toll in the strategic southern port city of Mariupol, facing acute deprivation amid a prolonged siege, has surged to 2,000, AP reported citing officials.

The fight for Mariupol is crucial since its capture could help Russia establish a land corridor to Crimea, which it seized from Ukraine in 2014, according to AP.

> Ukraine’s presidential adviser Mikhail Podolyak also shared a video of shelling near ‘maternity centre’ in Mariupol. The video, shared on Wednesday, shows debris around the building and smoke rising as civilians try to take stock of their belongings.

“Mariupol is being erased by RF shells on our eyes. A direct blow at the maternity center has happened. Women in labor and kids are under the wreckage. Instead of new lives - deaths. Won't it be enough to close the Ukraine sky from missiles? Isn't it an argument to stop the killing? (sic),” he wrote on Twitter.

> Ukraine's envoy to Austria, Olexander Scherba, shared a video with a Russian launcher targeting civilians and residential areas of Ukraine as he wrote: "A Russian Grad missile launcher. Shelling from residential area. (sic)" "This unprovoked evil war is Europe’s 9/11 moment. And a new 1939. The world needs to man up now. (sic)," he wrote in another post.

> Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, On Sunday, visited wounded soldiers in a Kyiv hospital. The video also showed the Ukrainian president walking through the streets of Kyiv, surrounded by officials, before greeting hospital employees. The photos of Zelenskyy’s visit were later shared by the Ukrainian defence ministry.

> A video was shared by the Foreign ministry of Ukraine that captured shelling on a high school.
