US Iran war highlights: Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi on Sunday said that Tehran welcomes any initiative to end the war. He also denied that Iran targeted any civilian or residential areas in the neighbouring Arab countries in the ongoing war with Israel and US and said that Israel could be behind the attacks....Read More

Araghchi said Tehran is ready to form a probe panel with regional countries on targets that were attacked, Iran's Fars News reported. Earlier, Iran had claimed that Israel and US were rebranding their Shahed drones to frame Iran.

Amid unverified claims and rumors about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's safety, Iran Guards on Sunday vowed to ‘pursue and kill’ him, AFP reported.

Loud explosions were reportedly heard in central Israel on Sunday morning that followed air raid sirens there in view of Iranian missile strike there. Earlier, Iran on launched missile strikes on Saudi's Al Kharj Air Base, used by the US military. The IRGC said that Al Kharj base served as the "origin of aggressions against the Islamic homeland," functioning as the staging ground for US F-35 and F-16 fighter jets involved in attacks on Iran.

The United States Department of Defense has identified the six airmen who were killed in a refuelling plane crash over Iraq a few days ago, Reuters reported. As the war in the Middle East entered its third week, US President Donald Trump on Saturday claimed that Iran is ready to negotiate a deal to end the war, but he is not prepared to agree to a ceasefire yet since the terms offered are insufficient.

Trump made the remarks during an interview with NBC News and said that he is unwilling to make a deal with Tehran at this stage despite indications the country wants negotiations. "Iran wants to make a deal, and I don't want to make it because the terms aren't good enough yet," he said, adding that any terms will have to be "very solid".

Meanwhile, loud explosions were reported from Bahrain's Manama on Sunday morning.

- Trump's coalition to end Hormuz blockade: The Trump administration plans to announce as early as this week that multiple countries have agreed to form a coalition that will escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz, the Wall Street Journal reported.

- Israel's fresh strike on south Beirut: Israel has launched a fresh strike on Beirut's southern suburbs as IDF said it was striking Hezbollah infrastructure in the city. The strike on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday came after a morning Israel army evacuation warning for Beirut's southern suburbs, which Israel has repeatedly struck in the past fortnight.

- Israel has 'thousands' more targets: Israeli military spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin said that the country “still have thousands of targets in Iran, and we are identifying new targets every day.”

- Trump-Starmer call: US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke about the "importance" of reopening the Strait of Hormuz, currently blocked by Iran.

- Baghdad airport hit: Five people were wounded in a rocket attack on the Baghdad airport complex, which houses a US diplomatic facility, Iraqi authorities said.
