Patrick Lawrence was arrested by the Fort Worth Police Department for shooting LaTaivia Davis in a road rage incident that took place on the eastbound Interstate 20 on the morning of August 13 in Texas.
The arrest was made ‘through coordinated efforts involving our Patrol Officers, Homicide Unit, Real Time Crime Center, Operation & Surveillance Team, Recruit Class and Directed Response Unit,’ Forth Worth Police Department announced in a statement.
Speaking of the victim, they wrote “Our hearts go out to her family and loved ones as they deal with this tragic loss.” A photo of Patrick Lawrence was shared as well.
Who is Patrick Lawrence?
Patrick Lawrence is a 37-year-old man who was arrested for shooting LaTaivia Davis. He has been charged with murder in the shooting death case.
At the time of arrest, Patrick was wearing a white tee and dark pants. He sported long hair.
The incident took place near Granbury Road at about 6:38am. As per witnesses the victim and shooter were traveling in the area where they were part of a road rage situation, as per NBC Dallas Fort Worth.
Initially Lawrence had driven off and was at large, but cops managed to capture him in some time.
Who was LaTaivia Davis?
LaTaivia Davis was a North Texas school employee. She was a teacher’s aide with Everman ISD, as per a Fox 4 reporter. Cops said LaTaivia and another driver were traveling eastbound on I-20 near Hulen Mall when some sort of confrontation took place.
The driven then pulled up alongside LaTaivia's vehicle and opened fire, which struck and killed her. Though first responders tried life-saving measures on the victim, they didn't work.
Meanwhile, the Fort Worth Police Department thanked them for the aid they provided, while condoling the loss of life in the road rage incident.

Several people reacted to the arrest of Patrick Lawrence in Fort Worth. “Great Job FWPD & thanks to the any others that stepped in to render aid etc... very sad May God comfort her family and provide them with peace,” one wrote.
Another added “i’m so happy he got caught, absolutely no way to deal with road rage. prayers & hugs to the family of the woman!”. Yet another said “A very sad tragedy and praying for her family but good job finding the suspect so quickly.”
