A 6.4 magnitude earthquake on Thursday struck off the Pacific coast of Oregon, the US Geological Survey reported.

A 6.4 magnitude earthquake today struck off the Pacific coast of Oregon, the US Geological Survey reported.
The quake was located 246 kilometres west of Winchester Bay on the coast of the northwestern state of Oregon, and 406 kilometres southwest of Portland, the USGS said in a statement.
The earthquake occurred at 5:37 pm (0707 IST Thursday) at a depth of 10 kilometres.
