The agreement will enable Airtel, an arm of the Indian telecom major Bharti Telecom, with a single-window web-based system to access, create, execute and manage value-added services.

The new services will be offered to the consumers under Airtel's unstructured supplementary service data (USSD), short message service (SMS) centre and bulk messaging gateway (BMG) portfolio.

"At Airtel Bangladesh, we're determined to provide best-in-class services and to continuously offer the best communication solutions to our businesses and individual customers," Chris Tobit, chief executive officer and managing director of Airtel Bangladesh, told The Daily Star.
