The bomb detonated by an unidentified group at Gaur Municipality last evening killed the minor at the spot, while another person died in hospital, the police said.

Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav, who was supposed to attend the Central Regional Festival's closing ceremony today as Chief Guest, left for the capital on Friday, hours before the blast owing to prior engagements, sources said.

The explosion took place near the stage where VIPs were sitting and a cultural programme was on.

Security agencies suspect that the bomb, that went off despite tight security arrangements, was targeted at the VIPs.
