A suicide bomber hit near a naval complex in Pakistan's capital Islamabad on Wednesday, police said, with four people injured in the latest blast to hit the Taliban-troubled nation.

"It was a suicide attack. Four people were injured -- one is in a critical condition," Bani Amin, a senior Islamabad police official, told AFP.

Another police official, Mohammad Nishat, said that the blast hit on a road close to the naval complex in the centre of the city.
