Reeling under her dad's control, pop singer Britney Spears wants to hire her own lawyer, People magazine has reported. Sam Lutfi, the sister of Spears' former manager has told an LA court that the pop star was scared because her father was blackmailing her with visitation rights over her kids.

Sam Lutfi, the sister of Spears' former manager has told an LA court that she sneaked the pop star a cellphone recently so that she could call Lutfi and seek help without her father's knowledge.
"She was scared because her father was blackmailing her with visitation rights over her kids," Christina Lutfi told the court.
Lutfi testified in court that she met Spears at an LA hotel's gym and handed off the phone in the sauna. However, the phone was found out by Spears' bodyguards.
The court hearing is to determine whether to extend the restraining order Spears has against Lutfi.
On the allegations of Britney's dad Jamie Spears that the one-time manager is harassing the singer, Lutfi's lawyer countered saying, "when someone asks for your help, that person is obviously not scared of you."
