Car bomb attacks in the southern Iraqi city of Amara kill at least 26 people and wound more than 100.

Car bomb attacks in the southern Iraqi city of Amara killed at least 26 people and wounded more than 100 on Wednesday, a doctor in the emergency section of the city's state-run Amara Hospital said.

Police have said three car bombs exploded in the city, where British forces handed responsibility for security to Iraqi forces earlier this year.
