Given America’s love of coffee and super-sized portions, it was inevitable that Starbucks should tie the two together in its latest offering: the massive new “Trenta” cup size, holding 31 US fluid ounces — that’s 0.917 litres — of beverage.

Given America’s love of coffee and super-sized portions, it was inevitable that Starbucks should tie the two together in its latest offering: the massive new “Trenta” cup size, holding 31 US fluid ounces — that’s 0.917 litres — of beverage.
The firm says it responded to demands for larger sizes, which it has been testing for almost a year. The Trenta will go on sale in 14 US states this week, and by May will be sold throughout the country.
