Dalai Lama's Nepal representative arrested

Nepal Police on Sunday arrested Thinley Gyatso, representative of the Dalai Lama in Nepal as a preventive measure against anti-China protests on March 10-marked as Tibetan Uprising Day, reports Utpal Parashar.

Nepal Police on Sunday arrested Thinley Gyatso, representative of the Dalai Lama in Nepal as a preventive measure against anti-China protests on March 10-marked as Tibetan Uprising Day.

Nepal, which has officially adopted a 'One-China' policy, has stepped up security in the capital to prevent any demonstrations by Tibetans to mark the 1959 uprising against China.
