Qari Ilyas, Muhammad Usman and Shakir Ali were arrested by security agencies in the wake of the June 2008 attack on the Danish mission in the heart of Islamabad.
Eight persons were killed in the attack, which had also damaged the nearby residence of the Indian High Commissioner. The Rawalpindi-based anti-terrorism court acquitted the three men, saying the prosecution had failed to prove the charges against them.
