Elephant kills Chinese tourist in Nepal

A Chinese tourist was killed by an elephant when he attempted to feed the animal at Sauraha, outside the Chitwan National Park in central Nepal.

A Chinese tourist was killed by an elephant when he attempted to feed the animal at Sauraha, outside the Chitwan National Park in central Nepal on Friday.

Wang Heung was attacked by an elephant named Laxmikali, belonging to a jungle safari, while he tried to feed the animal, according to Republica daily. The elephant pulled him down and crushed with a leg, the daily reported.

The Chinese tourist died while he was taken to Bharatpur Medical College hospital. Wang's wife, however, escaped unhurt.
