The latest 76 are among the 592 people who were admitted for the suspected virus on Saturday evening, local media reports said today.
Health director-general Ismail Merican said seven of the confirmed victims were being treated in the intensive care unit of hospitals, with five of them in the high-risk category.
Although no new cases of cluster influenza-like illness were reported since yesterday, Ismail said they were still on high alert.
He said it was important for the people to practise a healthy lifestyle, with a balanced diet, regular exercise, lots of water and enough sleep.
He also asked those in the high-risk group to get them vaccinated against the disease.
The total number of people infected in Malaysia with Influenza A (H1N1) since May last year is 13,709, and over 80 deaths has occurred.
