Expressing happiness that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's heart surgery proved successful, Bangladesh Premier Sheikh Hasina on Monday said her country "immensely valued" his leadership in strengthening ties between the two nations.

"I am happy that the surgical procedures you went through were successful. I trust that you will get well soon," Hasina said in a message sent to Singh.
She said the "people and the government of Bangladesh and I personally immensely value your leadership that has contributed significantly to the strengthening and deepening of the friendly relations between our two countries."
Hasina also prayed for Manmohan's early recovery, good health, and return to active service of his country.
"I trust you will continue to lead your great country and that we shall have the privilege to work together a new dynamism to our continuing endeavors aimed at consolidating further the close relations between our two countries," the Prime Minister added.
