Hasina, Zia invite each other for Iftar
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and opposition leader Khaleda Zia have invited each other for Iftar, but will not be meeting since they are playing hostesses on the same Saturday evening.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and opposition leader Khaleda Zia have invited each other for Iftar, but will not be meeting since they are playing hostesses on the same Saturday evening.
Iftar, the feast after breaking of fast during holy Ramadan, also provides occasion for social interaction.
Hasina will host her Iftar party for leaders of political parties at Gano Bhaban, the official residence, while the opposition leader will hold it in the parliament complex, United News of Bangladesh (UNB) news agency reported.
The invitations were extended and received Thursday, within hours of one another, The Daily Star said.
