Clinton is likely to stop by in Tokyo on Friday or Saturday ahead of her visit to China, the evening edition of the Asahi Shimbun said, quoting unnamed Japanese government sources.

Clinton, who visited Japan in February last year, is expected to hold talks with Japanese Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada and possibly Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, the daily and other news reports said.

During the planned talks, Clinton is likely to address the relocation of an unpopular US airbase in Okinawa and exchange views on a South Korean warship sunk by a mystery blast, the newspaper added.
