Antony, who had back-to-back meetings Premier Li Keqiang and defence minister, Chang Wanquan on Friday, said the new leadership wants to expand its relationship with India.

Antony avoided questions on the recent Chinese incursion in Depsang or the comments made by a People's Liberation Army general on Thursday that India should stop provoking China and stirring up trouble at the border.

The two countries are expected to issue a joint communique on defence on Saturday that will detail the plans for cooperation between two countries.
