At least eight people have died during anti-government protests this week and top opposition figures have been arrested. It's the worst unrest since the aftermath of June's disputed presidential election.

The government says the protesters are a tiny minority, and it accuses the U.S. and Britain of orchestrating the demonstrations. Tens of thousands of people are expected at Wednesday's demonstrations in Tehran and several other cities.
