The Madison Square concerts, which took place over two days and finished the night before 9/11, were watched by nearly 44 million people. The show sold out in five hours.

The December 16 auction of Entertainment Memorabilia in Knightsbridge is estimated to fetch nearly 12,000 pounds.

The hat is one of Jackson's trademark black fedoras, the inside band of which features his name in gilt lettering.

Each sole of the shoe is signed and inscribed 'Rock My World Billie Jean'.
