Duesseldorf officials say 26 students at the city’s Japanese International School have tested positive for swine flu.

One student tested positive for the virus on Monday and the school was shut down Tuesday as a precaution. The additional cases were confirmed on Wednesday.

Bild newspaper reports on Thursday that most of the students are in sixth grade. The newspaper says the children are aged 11 to 13.

The city has no further immediate information but says more details are expected later in the day.
