Jong Un was elected from district 216 to the Supreme People's Assembly in the elections held in March last year, the reports said, quoting a Western source familiar with Pyongyang.

Following the election, a song titled "Footsteps" praising him began to be sung in elementary schools.

Although the delegate for district 216 has been named as "Kim Jong," since Kim Jong Il's birthday is February 16, the constituency number 216 is reserved for special persons, making it likely it is Jong Un.
