Man in Malaysia jailed for stealing panties

34-year-old Zunaidi Ismail admits to stealing 80 pieces of underwear from an apartment occupied by nursing students in three separate break-ins, says a report.

A Malaysian man who stole 80 pairs of women panties was on Saturday sentenced to 25 weeks in jail.

Zunaidi Ismail, a 34-year-old unemployed man from Borneo island admitted to stealing 80 pieces of underwear from an apartment occupied by nursing students in three separate break-ins, The Star newspaper reported.

The court ordered the 25 weeks sentence to run consecutively from the date of Ismail's arrest on April 3.

The stolen undergarments were worth a total of $77.

Meanwhile, in his defence Zunaidi told the court that he stole the undergarments to resale at a secondhand clothing market.
